I’m Lauren

I was born and raised in Ottawa, ON. I come from a big, loud family - chaos doesn't phase me. I love all things cozy, have a slight obsession with plants (often seen in my photos), always need music playing and I like to pair beverages with the weather.

I live with my husband, Ryan and our hound dog Harvey (he's usually the star of my IG stories) and you might see Ryan helping me out at a session or wedding as my second shooter!

Music

Music has always been a huge part of my life. I've played piano since age 5, like I said, always music playing, it helps me focus. It also inspires me, I've always had this idea of turning music lyrics into photos. Who knows, maybe I already have?

Photography

I started taking pictures when I was 10 and knew I wanted to be a Photographer when I was 16. I was fascinated with old photographs and loved looking through my grandparents albums - looking in to the past. What was happening when these photos were taken? What kind of people were they? So many questions. Now I get to take those photos that people will look back on. So cool.

Fun Fact

I love to travel and explore new places! I took a leap of faith and moved to Switzerland when I was 22, by myself, to be a live-in nanny for a year. When I came back to Canada, I worked as a travel agent for a few years and have a never ending bucket list of places to visit. Our last trip was Jamaica and next will either be Mexico or Germany.
